The Destiny Hunt was written by Jim Shooter and David Michelinie and drawn by Dave Wenzel and Pablo Marcos and opens with Starhawk arriving at Avengers Mansion. There is a quick recap of the last few issues and a statement of Iron Man’s plan. He decides to send the Avengers with other senses than normal or psychic abilities to see what they can sense, whilst he uses the Mansion’s computers to track any unusual energy readings. In the mansion, Moondragon wanders around being cryptic and very annoying and seemingly trying to take command of the Avengers.
The Avengers split up and have a look around and find little individually, but they then return to the Mansion to compare notes. The signs all point to an area in Forest Hills Queens and then comes the next problem, with the Quinjet grounded by Gyrich issues earlier, how are they getting to Queens?
Yes, that’s right, the battle for reality itself will be settled, after the Avengers get off the bus. They confront Michael in his home, but don’t see him as a threat until Starhawk shouts that no one is there. Slowly everyone works out that the only person powerful enough to blind Starhawk is the one person they’re seeking. Discovered, Michael Korvac realises that he cause is lost, so must defend his life against the Avengers.
Notes: I need say nothing, the end is coming.
